Building a Ballard Restaurant

Posted by & filed under Cafe News.

Pono Ranch Construction, at Ballard's new restaurant and cafeConstruction is running full tilt at our, soon-to-be, newest Ballard restaurant and cafe.  We even have our temporary, home-made “Pono” shingle up!

We’re right on track (train-crane pun intended) for our goal of hitting our Summer opening for Pono Ranch, with the drive-through cafe being our highest priority.  Quick access to coffee expedites everything, right?  Especially delicious organic coffee, sourced locally.

Crane Day at Pono Ranch!

Posted by & filed under Cafe News.

It’s a big day at Pono Ranch, literally.  We’ve proudly taken delivery of our 45′ vintage railroad crane.  Gears, levers, high-tension cables, oh my!

Pono Ranch Railroad Crane

Apart from being generally awesome, our yet-to-be-named crane will also be able to drape canopy sails over parts of our exterior spaces for those of us who enjoy some brisk, fresh Seattle air during our wetter months, or some shade during our hot month!

We made some buzz online and in print…

Seattle’s Newest Ballard Cafe & Restaurant Opening 2013

Posted by & filed under Cafe News.

Seattle’s newest cafe and restaurant is opening in Ballard in 2013.  Pono Ranch is a refreshing take on indoor/outdoor space with great organic food in a family-friendly atmosphere.  Conveniently located at the corner of Shilshole Ave and 46th St, Pono Ranch will anchor the bottom of the Ballard Ave restaurant corridor, with pit-stop access to the Burke-Gillman bike trail.  We embrace a hardy NW outlook on outdoor spaces, with a large fire-pit patio and expansive deck with self-service grilling.  Our 45′ vintage crane will tower over our outdoor space and provide rainy day protection.
